Silver Studs Football Club (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is a youth football training and development academy based in Harare, Zimbabwe, providing coaching and development programmes for children and young adults aged 4 to 19. We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

  • Financial Data: Includes bank account and payment card details used for the payment of academy fees. (Note: we do not store full payment card details; these are processed by our secure third-party payment processors).
  • Technical Data: Includes internet protocol (IP) address, your login data, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform, and other technology on the devices you use to access our website.
  • Profile Data: Includes your username and password, preferences, feedback, and survey responses.
  • Usage data: Includes information about how you use our website and services.
  • Marketing & Communications Data: Includes you preferences in receiving marketing from us and your communication preferences.

We also collect and use Special Category Data (sensitive data) specifically concerning health, to ensure the safety and well-being or our players.

  • Direct Interactions: You may give us your Identity, Contact, Financial, and Medical Data by filling in registration forms, corresponding with us by post, phone, email, or in person. This includes personal data you provide when you:
    • Enrol your child in the academy;
    • Create an account on our website;
    • Request marketing to be sent to you;
    • Enter a competition, promotion, or survey; or
    • Give us feedback or contact us.
  • Automated Technologies or Interactions: As you interact with our website, we may automatically collect Technical and Usage Data about your equipment, browsing actions and patterns. We collect this personal data by using cookies, server logs and other similar technologies.

We will only use your personal data when the law allows us to. Most commonly, we will use your personal data in the following circumstances:

  • To Perform our Contract with you: To register your child as a player, manage their enrolment, provide coaching services, and manage payments.
  • For Legitimate Interests: To administer and protect our business and this website, for player development and talent identification, to use photographs/videos for internal training purposes, and to facilitate trials with partner clubs (with your express prior consent for this specific purpose).
  • To Comply with a Legal Obligation.
  • With Your Explicit Consent: Where we rely on consent, you have the right to withdraw it at any time. This primarily relates to:
    • Using player images/videos on our website, social media, or marketing materials.
    • Sharing your child’s data with college programmes or international partner academies for trial opportunities.

We will never sell your personal data. We may have to share your data with the parties set out below for the purposes outlined in section 4.

  • Internal Third Parties: Coaches and administrators within Silver Studs FC on a need-to-know basis.

    • Revenue & Customs, regulators and other authorities.
    • Partner football clubs, college programmes, or international academies, but only with your explicit, prior consent for a specific opportunity.

In line with our Player Pathway, we may facilitate connections with international partner academies. Any transfer of your personal data outside of Zimbabwe will only be made with your explicit consent and will be subject to appropriate safeguards to ensure the same level of protection is afforded to your data.

We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used, or accessed in an unauthorised way. Access to your personal data is limited to employees, agents, and other third parties on a need-to-know basis.
